Autumn 2005

Thursday 22nd September   7.15 pm

John Savournin and Friends from Charles Court Opera perform COX AND BOX and THE ZOO to open the CAA season with a pair of sparkling curtain raisers.

Saturday 15th November   2.15 pm

An afternoon of songs by Sullivan and his contemporaries by Katie Leaver accompanied by Margaret or Nigel Burton.

Thursday 24th November   7.15 pm

(to be confirmed) Lorraine Daniels in concert with David Mackie.

Tuesday 6th December   7.15 pm

The Seasonal Gathering to include a quiz featuring PATIENCE. Royal Scottish Corporation, 37 King Street, Covent Garden. Very Sorry Cancelled because of lack of premises

New Year/Spring 2006

Saturday 28th January   2.15 pm

Jeremy Stevenson presents "More Songs by Famous Savoyards" an afternoon of rare recordings culminating in a quiz.

Thursday 24th February   7.15 pm

(to be confirmed) Linda-Anne Hutchison and Gordon Stewart entertain us with novel interpretations of G & S.

Saturday 25th March    2.15 pm

Terry Hawes, composer of the score for Gilbert's His Excellency as recently released on CD introduces "Savoy Rareties" with four members of the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company.

"Gaelic Duets" by David Mackie and Hilary Morgan.

Saturday 20th May    2.15 pm

Ben Chambley to present "The Life and Times of Sir Richard Cholmondley" at the CAA. A party of 16 only to follow this event to be booked for the Ceremony of the Keys at 10.00 pm. We would be admitted as Hon.members of the South Devon Railway Assocn.


Unless otherwise stated, the London events continue at the Club for Acts and Actors (the CAA) at 20, Bedford Street, London WC2 (Near Covent Garden and Charing Cross stations).
