"How he came to be a Judge"
To celebrate the 150 anniversary year of Trial by Jury, Elaine Richardson, assisted by Leon Berger and Christopher Richardson, will give us an illustrated presentation on the life of Frederic Sullivan, the original Learned Judge in Trial by Jury. The presentation will include new facts and give us a fresh perspective on the life of Fred, including his relationship with brother Arthur. The presentation will also feature several musical numbers that have a connection to Fred, song by Leon Berger accompanied by Tim Smith on the piano.
Elaine is the Chairman of the Sir Arthur Sullivan Society and has received much acclaim for her book on Sullivan's nephew and Frederic's son, Herbert, published in 2023: 'The Untold Story of Herbert Sullivan'. Her meticulous research has led her to become an expert on the Sullivan family including Fred.
