'Never ceasing motion'

Sarah Lenton will give us a presentation exploring  how the use of dance bolts the Savoy Operas together and looks at how the D'Oyly Carte retained elements of Gilbert's original choreography.

Sarah has spent her working life in the theatre: her principal employers are the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Garsington Opera. She writes programme articles, radio and play scripts, gives lectures on the operas and ballets in the rep. and broadcasts regularly for BBC Radios 3 and 4 and has served on the D’Oyly Carte Opera Trust. She is an expert on all matters Gilbert and Sullivan and we are delighted to welcome back this extremely knowledgeable and interesting speaker.
